North Agent handles information about two different people: the estate agent who uses it, and the person who enquires about a property. This describes what is held about each, why, and who else can see it.
If you are an agent using North
We hold the account itself, the material you give us about a property, and what North made from it.
- Your account
- Your email address, and — only if you enter them — your name, job title, photograph, WhatsApp number, agency and time zone. Your email address is how you sign in; sign-in itself is handled by Supabase Auth, and North never sees or stores a password.
- What you upload
- Brochures, documents, photographs, links and pasted text. These are stored privately. A photograph only becomes publicly readable at the moment you publish the listing it belongs to, and only if it was included in the gallery.
- What North produced
- The extracted property facts, the listing page, the captions and image packs, and a record of where each fact came from and how confident the extraction was.
- How you use it
- Which properties you created, when they were published, which platforms you shared to, and how much AI processing each action consumed. The last of these is how the plan limits are counted.
- Billing
- Your subscription status and Stripe customer identifier. Payment card details are entered on Stripe and never reach North.
If you enquired about a property
When you send an enquiry through a North listing page, the agent marketing that property receives it, and North answers on their behalf until they take over.
- What you gave us
- The name, email address and phone number you typed into the form, and your message.
- The conversation
- The replies sent to you and the replies you send back, so the agent can read the whole thread. An assistant answers first, using only the confirmed facts about that property, and may ask about your budget, timing, whether you are buying or renting, and how you plan to pay. Your answers are summarised for the agent.
- Abuse prevention
- A one-way hash of your IP address and your browser user-agent string, kept so that a flood of fake enquiries can be identified. The IP address itself is not stored.
- Stopping
- Every message carries a link that stops all further email about that property. It takes effect immediately, without a reply from anyone.
Visits to a listing page
A listing page records that it was viewed, which shared link brought the visitor, and the referring site. The visitor is identified only by an irreversible hash — no IP address, no advertising identifier, no cross-site fingerprint, and nothing that can be resolved back to a person.
There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel and no third-party cookie on a listing page. Typefaces are served from the same domain, so viewing a listing makes no request to any other company.
Cookies
- Sign-in
- A session cookie set by Supabase Auth, so you stay signed in. Removing it signs you out.
- Administration
- A signed cookie for North staff on the internal console. Nobody else ever receives one.
- Everything else
- There is none. No analytics, no advertising, no consent banner to dismiss.
Artificial intelligence, specifically
North sends your uploaded material and property facts to Anthropic to read documents, write listing copy and captions, and draft replies to enquiries. It is the core of the product, not an optional extra, and it cannot be switched off while still using North.
Anthropic states that data sent through its commercial API is not used to train its models. We rely on that statement; we cannot independently verify it, and you should read their terms rather than take ours for it.
The prompts, the model responses and their cost are recorded so that a wrong answer can be traced to the exact instruction that produced it.
Extraction can be wrong. North nulls out anything it cannot find in your own material, and nothing is published until you have confirmed it.
Who else sees it
North does not sell data and does not share it for advertising. It reaches the companies below because the product cannot work without them, and no others.
- Anthropic
- Reading your material, writing listing copy and captions, drafting replies to enquiries. The text and images you upload for a property, the confirmed property facts, and the messages in an enquiry conversation.
- Supabase
- The database, and sign-in. Everything the product stores, including your email address.
- Cloudflare R2
- Storing uploaded documents and photographs. The files you upload, and the resized versions made from them.
- Vercel
- Running the application and serving the pages. Request data in the ordinary course of serving a page, including IP addresses at the network level.
- Resend
- Sending email — replies to enquiries, and notifications to you. The recipient address and the contents of the message.
- Stripe
- Subscriptions and payment. Your email address and your payment details. Card numbers go to Stripe directly and are never stored by North.
- Apify
- Reading the public LinkedIn profile you paste when you set up your account, so your name, title, photograph and agency are filled in for you. The LinkedIn address you paste. What comes back is stored on your account, and you can change or remove every part of it.
- LinkedIn and Meta (Facebook, Instagram)
- Posting your listings to the accounts you connect on the Channels screen. The listing copy and photographs North posts on your behalf, and the sign-in permission you grant when you connect an account. Nothing about your buyers.
Where it is held
North is operated from infrastructure that may process and store data outside your own country, including in the United States. If you are in the UK or the EEA, that is an international transfer, covered by the data-processing terms North holds with each of the companies above.
How long it is kept
Plainly: there is no automatic deletion schedule yet. Data is kept while the account is open.
Deleting a property deletes its documents, photographs, share packages, page views, enquiries and conversations along with it. Closing an account does the same for everything under it. Both are immediate and are not reversible.
Anonymous aggregates — how many listings were created in a month, how much processing was used — are not tied to a person and may be retained after deletion.
Your rights
Ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to hello@benorth.app. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority — in France, the CNIL; elsewhere in the UK or EEA, your own.
If you enquired about a property, the agent marketing it is the one deciding what to do with your enquiry; North handles it on their behalf. You can ask either of us.
Changes
This will change as the product does — the date at the top says when it last did. Material changes will be sent to the email address on your account rather than only posted here.
