Terms

Last updated 3 September 2026

North Agent turns the material you already have about a property into a listing page, posts for each platform, and answered enquiries. These are the terms on which you use it.

What North does, and what it does not

North reads the material you give it, extracts the facts it can find, and presents them for you to confirm or correct. It builds a public listing page, generates a share package for each platform, and answers enquiries that arrive through that page.

North does not verify that a property exists, that you are entitled to market it, or that the facts in your brochure are true. It cannot; it has only what you gave it. Everything it produces is a draft for you to approve.

North is not an estate agent, a broker, a valuer or an adviser, and nothing it writes is advice to a buyer or a tenant.

Your account

You must be at least eighteen, and entitled under the rules that apply where you work to market the properties you upload. One account is one person: sign-in credentials are not to be shared.

You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Your material stays yours

You keep every right in the documents, photographs and text you upload, and in the listing pages North produces from them.

You give North permission to store that material, send it to the processors listed in the privacy notice, and — for a property you publish — display it publicly on its listing page and in the share packages you generate. This permission exists so the product can function, ends when you delete the material, and covers nothing else.

You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload, including photographs taken by somebody else. Photographer copyright is the most common way this goes wrong.

Accuracy is yours to check

Extraction is automatic and it can be wrong. It can miss a figure, read a number from the wrong column, or fail on a scanned page. North deliberately leaves a fact blank rather than guessing, but it cannot catch everything.

Nothing is published until you confirm it, and once you do, what appears on the listing page is your advertisement. You are responsible for its accuracy and for its compliance with the advertising, consumer protection, equality and estate agency rules that apply where the property is.

North screens generated copy for obvious problems — guaranteed returns, discriminatory language, an exact street address, unsupported superlatives — and blocks a caption that trips them. This is a safety net, not a compliance review, and it is not legal advice.

Enquiries and automated replies

North replies to enquiries on your behalf, in your name, using only the facts you confirmed for that property. It is instructed not to negotiate, not to commit you to anything, and not to state anything it was not given.

It is still an automated system and it can get things wrong. Review a conversation before acting on it. If you would not want a message sent without reading it, turn automatic replies off for that property.

Outbound messaging is off by default on a new deployment: messages are recorded, not sent, until sending is deliberately switched on.

You are responsible for handling the enquiries you receive lawfully, including anything the rules where you work require you to tell a prospective buyer or tenant.

What you may not do

Upload a property you have no right to market, or somebody else’s photographs without permission.
Publish anything you know to be false or misleading about a property.
Use North to send unsolicited bulk email, or to contact people who have asked you to stop.
Attempt to reach another agent’s properties, enquiries or contacts.
Resell access, or run North on behalf of people who have not agreed to these terms.
Probe, overload or work around the limits of the service.

Paying for it

Subscriptions are billed through Stripe, in advance, for the period shown when you subscribe, and renew automatically until cancelled.

Cancel at any time from the billing screen. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; access continues until then, and part-periods are not refunded automatically.

A plan carries a monthly allowance of AI processing. Exceeding it pauses new processing until the next period or an upgrade — it never silently produces a larger bill.

Prices can change with at least thirty days’ notice to the email address on your account, taking effect at your next renewal.

Availability

There is no uptime guarantee. North depends on services it does not run — a database, a storage bucket, an AI provider, an email sender — and any of them can fail.

Published listing pages are served independently of the rest of the application, so a fault in the agent-facing app does not usually take a live listing offline. Usually is not always.

Ending it

You can close your account at any time, which deletes your properties, their material and their enquiries. That includes taking published listing pages offline, so send yourself anything you want to keep first.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that puts the service or other users at risk. Where circumstances allow, we will say why first.

Warranties and liability

North is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, there is no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that anything it extracts or writes will be correct.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and does not extend to lost profit, lost business or lost opportunity.

These terms are governed by the laws of France, and the courts of France.

Changes to these terms

These will change as the product does. Material changes will be sent to the email address on your account at least thirty days before they take effect, and continuing to use North after that is acceptance. If you would rather not accept, cancel before they take effect.
